Welcome!

The Ballerina Birthday is an event service based in the San Francisco Bay Area specializing in children's parties for young movers who love to dance, prance, and whirl! We believe that celebrating is best done in a tutu and that shared giggles are the best presents!

What We're All About

Birthdays are wonderful things.  The wonder of being young and imaginative makes birthdays for little ones so special.  Not only do kids genuinely love getting dressed up and having themed parties, but parents also revel in those precious years when kids are all exuberance and joy.  I know I have my favorite pictures from when I was young, surrounded by my friends and family, a huge grin on my face and a princess crown on my head.
The Ballerina Birthday offers themed birthday parties that not only provide entertainment, but also give children a glimpse into the world of dance, music, and storytelling and instill in them an appreciation of art and its ability to transport us all to a new and magical world.

As a professional dancer and a dance teacher specializing in ballet for ages 4-6, I've spent many years in creative dance environments and am a true believer in the ability of dance to transport us.  I hope to embrace the imagination and creativeness that children innately bring to their surroundings in the classes I teach, in the parties I do, and in my daily life.  I began ballet at age 6 at Benicia Ballet School, quickly jumping into performances and taking as many classes per week as I could.  There I studied the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, and went on to pass one of their highest exams offered and received their recognition as both a member of the RAD and as an associate.  I have completed the Royal Academy of Dance's Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies and hope to have a long career as an RAD teacher and bring their wonderful syllabus to dance students of all ages and calibers.  A member of the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and of Brisas de Espana Flamenco and Spanish Dance Company, I've spent a good amount of my adult life onstage as well, and now I try to give my students the same thrill and appreciation for performance that I've always treasured. Children have a knack for understanding and valuing the magical; I find it one of their most endearing qualities and hope to not only encourage that in them, but learn from them myself and take a little of their magic with me wherever I go.  Have questions or want to get in touch with me?  E-mail me here!
